About the Role:
We are seeking a Director, Media Planning to lead our investment strategy across streaming (CTV/OTT) and linear television campaigns. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with expert knowledge in video measurement and planning tools such as VideoAmp, Nielsen, and other data-driven platforms. 

The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years of experience in media planning and investment, a passion for data storytelling, and a proven ability to deliver high-performing, insight-driven campaigns across a variety of video environments. A strong understanding of retail media, particularly in Amazon eCommerce campaigns, is also highly desirable. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead strategic development and execution of integrated video media plans across streaming and linear platforms. 
  • Own media investment strategy to drive optimal results and efficiency across CTV, OTT, and traditional TV.
  • Interpret and analyze audience and performance data using tools like VideoAmp, Nielsen, iSpot, and Comscore to inform planning and drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Tell clear, compelling stories with data — distilling complex findings into actionable insights for internal teams and clients. 
  • Serve as a key client-facing leader, presenting media strategies, insights, and performance recaps. 
  • Manage and mentor a team of media planners and associates, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence. 
  • Partner closely with media buying, analytics, and account teams to ensure campaigns deliver against objectives. 
  • Stay ahead of emerging media trends, technologies, and industry developments to inform future planning. 

Qualifications 

  • 5–7 years of experience in media planning and investment (ideally for an agency), with significant focus on video across both linear and streaming. 
  • Deep expertise in media measurement platforms, especially VideoAmp, Nielsen, Comscore, and iSpot. 
  • Strong analytical skills and fluency in turning data into actionable recommendations and persuasive narratives. 
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and guiding cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Proven success in client-facing roles, with excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Deep understanding of media performance metrics, attribution models, and buying dynamics across linear and digital platforms. 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing multiple priorities. 
  • Working knowledge of retail media strategies, particularly Amazon advertising and eCommerce campaign planning. 
  • Fluency with programmatic buying and tactics and platforms such as Yahoo! and Amazon DSPs  

Preferred Experience 

  • Background working with media agencies or in-house media teams in sectors like CPG, retail, entertainment, or tech. 
  • Strong understanding of programmatic TV and advanced audience targeting strategies. 
  • Experience with tools such as media trading platforms, ad serving, measurement and analytics tools. 
  • Expertise in Excel and full Microsoft Office suite.
